Responsibilities

- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies tailored to individual student needs, including those with autism spectrum disorders.
- Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences for early childhood and elementary students.
- Manage classroom behavior proactively by applying effective classroom management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavior incidents, and instructional modifications in compliance with special education law and school policies.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of special education practices, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional modifications.
- Expertise in speech therapy techniques, behavioral health interventions, and behavior management strategies for students with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and multidisciplinary team coordination.
- Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and early intervention strategies.
- Proficiency in using educational technology platforms to support differentiated instruction.
- Ability to mentor junior staff members while fostering a collaborative team environment focused on student success.
