Gideon Math & Reading is looking for a friendly, helpful, and reliable Math Tutor who loves working with children!
At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience is required.
As a Math Tutor, you will work with students of different ages and skill levels using the Gideon Math & Reading curriculum and methods. We are looking for someone with a strong aptitude for math who is comfortable teaching math through high school Geometry. Training on the Gideon curriculum and teaching methods will be provided.

Math Tutor Responsibilities
- Stay positive, encouraging, and professional with students
- Work with students on math concepts ranging from elementary math through high school Geometry
- Using our answer keys, grade work completed by students in their pre-assigned booklets
- Answer students’ questions and explain math concepts clearly
- Guide students toward independent learning and problem-solving
- Identify mistakes and help students understand how to correct them
Math Tutor – Ideal Skills and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong math skills with the ability to teach through high school Geometry
- Enjoy working with children
- Be patient, positive, and encouraging
- Be organized and dependable
- Enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts and succeed
- Have strong attention to detail and carefully check students’ work
