Overview:
Beacon Fisheries is a privately held seafood distributor located in Jacksonville, FL. We have been in business since 1996.
We are seeking a few Day Shift Production Workers to add to our production team due to expansion.
- Location: On-site (Processing & Distribution Facility)
- Position Type: Full-Time / Level 10
- Reports To: Team Lead
- Cross-Functional Partners: Line Cutters, Material Handlers, Temps
- Position Summary: Provides foundational operational support to keep seafood products iced, safely packaged, organized, and moving efficiently through the facility.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Packing & Assembly: Assemble boxes, pack product, apply shipping labels, and record basic package weights accurately.
- Sanitation & Ice Care: Maintain a continually sanitized workspace and apply ice to product lines to protect cold-chain stability.
- GMP Compliance: Adhere strictly to all corporate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and physical safety rules.
- Inventory Staging: Move packaged master cases onto designated pallets, ensuring different species lots remain split correctly.
- Temps Integration Support: Model core packing paces and station habits to help integrate seasonal temp labor safely.
- Qualifications:
- Excellent physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive packaging tasks in cold environments.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting cases, verifying labels, and reading industrial floor scales.
- Proven history of reliable attendance and working effectively within cooperative floor teams.
- Strict willingness to follow plant safety rules, hygiene guidelines, and uniform requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
