Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Director to oversee enterprise technology operations across Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Laffey International Realty, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fillmore Real Estate, Northeast Title Services, and affiliated companies. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the organization's technology strategy, maintaining secure and reliable IT infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting more than 500 real estate professionals, executives, and employees across multiple New York locations.
The IT Director will lead infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity initiatives, cloud technologies, enterprise applications, network architecture, and business process automation while partnering with executive leadership to align technology investments with operational and business objectives.
Duties
- Lead enterprise-wide technology strategy, infrastructure planning, and IT operations across multiple real estate and title companies.
- Manage all aspects of IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, cloud services, servers, networking, VPNs, telecommunications, business applications, websites, endpoint devices, and collaboration platforms.
- Direct cybersecurity initiatives by implementing security policies, multifactor authentication, endpoint protection, least-privilege access, email security, secure remote access, and incident response procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee a New York State regulatory-compliant cybersecurity program for Northeast Title Services, including risk assessments, employee security awareness training, vendor management, annual compliance reviews, and cybersecurity documentation.
- Design, implement, and administer secure site-to-site and remote-access VPN solutions supporting multiple offices, remote employees, cloud services, and third-party technology providers.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security audits, and remediation efforts while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee technology operations for Northeast Title Services, including Microsoft 365 administration, TrackerPro, ACRIS connectivity, secure virtual environments, document management, licensing, and vendor support.
- Design, develop, and maintain the corporate intranet, centralizing onboarding resources, policies, forms, training materials, operational documentation, and marketing assets.
- Develop business process automation solutions utilizing Google Apps Script, Google Workspace, Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint, Forms, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
- Manage employee and agent onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, permissions management, device deployment, application access, licensing, security enforcement, and technology training.
- Lead website migrations, domain management, email migrations, cloud platform transitions, and infrastructure upgrades while ensuring business continuity and minimal operational disruption.
- Support real estate technology platforms including MLS and IDX integrations, agent websites, CRM systems, lead management platforms, digital marketing technologies, and vendor ecosystems.
- Oversee office technology deployments including wireless networking, conference room technology, audiovisual systems, printers, workstations, mobile devices, and remote support solutions.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for cybersecurity incidents, infrastructure outages, network failures, vendor escalations, account compromises, and complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, compliance teams, marketing, operations, office managers, and third-party vendors to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience leading enterprise IT operations in a multi-location organization supporting hundreds of users.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Active Directory/Azure AD, cloud administration, identity management, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Strong experience designing and managing enterprise networking, VPN technologies, wireless infrastructure, remote access, telecommunications, and cloud connectivity.
- Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, including access management, endpoint security, email protection, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness training.
- Experience developing and maintaining regulatory compliance programs, cybersecurity policies, risk assessments, and governance documentation, including New York State Department of Financial Services cybersecurity requirements.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise application administration, website management, domain administration, cloud migrations, and business-critical software platforms.
- Experience developing workflow automation using Google Apps Script, Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint, Forms, and cloud productivity tools.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management, software licensing, procurement, contract coordination, and technology budgeting.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with experience supporting executive leadership and mission-critical business operations.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of security, reliability, compliance, and customer service.
