We are seeking an aggressive and highly driven Regional Sales Representative to manage, recruit, and partner with Independent Manufacturers' Representatives. You will be responsible for driving market demand, educating rep agencies on our product lines, and growing sales across your designated territory. Key Responsibilities
- Agency Management: Act as the primary point of contact for independent manufacturing rep agencies. Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with agency principals and their field sales teams.
- Recruitment & Growth: Identify, vet, and recruit new, high-performing manufacturers' representative agencies in unpenetrated or growing geographic territories.
- Training & Product Education: Conduct regular product training, presentations, and technical demonstrations to ensure rep teams are equipped to sell our solutions effectively.
- Sales Strategy & Quotas: Develop and execute tailored sales action plans and territory strategies to meet or exceed regional revenue and profitability targets.
- Joint Sales Calls: Travel estimated 25% within the assigned territory to participate in high-stakes, joint sales calls with rep agencies to close key accounts.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor rep performance against established KPIs, conduct regular business reviews, and implement corrective action plans when goals are missed.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of successful outside sales or B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of managing Manufactures Reps, Distributors, and Engineers.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relationship Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and motivational skills; ability to influence external partners who do not directly report to you.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the manufacturing sector, supply chain, and wholesale distribution.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel (up to 25%) within the assigned geographic territory.
