JOB SUMMARY
Using dies and injection equipment, inject wax patterns and sprues used to make investment casting parts. Provide wax assembly operators with wax patterns to assemble to meet planning schedule.
We are currently recruiting for 2 Wax Injector positions.
We have 1st & 2nd shifts available:
1st: 7:00am-3:30pm
2nd: 2:00pm-10:30pm
Select and assemble die for specified pattern to be injected following tech cards.
Install die on injection machine
Use mold release on die.
- Following the part specific TechCard (work instructions), all injected patterns.
Inject patterns and sprues using different types of wax for parts and sprues.
- Use dental style tools, small hobby paint brushes, hot irons & water welder torches with an open flame and hot melted glue/wax prep cores needed in wax patterns.
Assembly instructions are also found on the Technical Card.
- Requires the delicate use of hands when working with fragile ceramic cores and wax patterns and assemblies.
- Complete required paperwork without error and job/inventory WIP’ing transaction via WIP Track (i.e.) moving jobs/completed work to the next manufacturing operation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to speak and read English.
- Ability to work with hands.
- Strong attention to detail .
- Able to work in a “Team-Work” environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
- Work with hot irons, open flame torches and hot melted wax & glue on hot plates. Wax injection machine, overhead crane, lift tables and hoists. Moving heavy metal dies onto injection platform.
