American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in Louisville, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Full-time day shift position in a hospital Endoscopy department
-
Unit features ten treatment rooms, 30 pre/post-operative procedure rooms, and a dedicated ERCP room
-
Provides both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy services
-
Common procedures include EGD, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP
-
40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week

13-week contract

Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred

Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
-
Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures

DOB (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge processes

RN practices using evidence-based nursing, critical thinking, and the full nursing process

Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors care provided by team members

Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction

Holistic, patient- and family-centered care philosophy emphasized throughout the unit
