Job Description: Construction Assistant
Location: Fort Collins, CO (In-person)
Summary:
Archadeck Outdoor Living is Northern Colorado’s premier designer and builder of outdoor living spaces — including decks, porches, patios, sunrooms, hardscapes, and shade structures. We are seeking a Construction Assistant to serve as the Project Manager’s "eyes and ears" in the field.
Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is a strong plus, as are strong interpersonal skills, excellent customer service, a solid work ethic, and the ability to follow established processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Project Manager’s on-site representative, providing updates on project progress, quality, and material needs
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work meets Archadeck’s quality standards and crews have necessary materials
- Deliver and return materials as needed based on project requirements
- Perform punch list and warranty work as needed (minor carpentry, painting, clean-up, pressure washing, etc.)
- Be present on-site for inspections throughout the construction process
- Build strong relationships with crews, suppliers, and vendors
- Help implement standardized construction practices to ensure consistent project finishes and minimize rework
- Maintain punctuality and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment and maintain a positive attitude
- Remain teachable, ask questions when needed, and solve problems proactively
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Kind, respectful, and professional in interactions with homeowners, crews, and vendors
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Basic general construction and home remodeling experience.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and communicate them effectively to field crews
Bonus Qualifications:
- Carpentry experience in outdoor living construction (decks, patios, etc.)
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish
- Knowledge of the Residential Building Code related to outdoor structures
- Working knowledge of the Residential Building Code (IRC/ICC), especially as it applies to decks and patio covers
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $20 – $30 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (weekends as needed)

- Must be able to commute to Fort Collins, CO 80525
- Must be willing to relocate to Fort Collins, CO prior to starting work
