The Senior Data Advisor will act as data capability subject matter expert responsible for data related needs on key firm initiatives. They are expected to execute the Data Advisor role on larger, more complex, cross-functional projects that require coordination across multiple divisions.
This role drives the execution of the organization's data strategy and operating model and is accountable for commitments and culture across a meaningfully large area or multiple smaller areas of subject matter expertise within the Data organization. They may work with outside vendors to ensure a sustainable pipeline of talent to meet their area's current and future needs. They influence outcomes across the Firm on behalf of the organization for their specific areas of responsibility.
What You Will Do:-
Accountable for the strategy of their area(s) of ownership, staying aligned with the overall Data Strategy and Firm Plan; influences and contributes to the prioritization of firm data needs by partnering across the enterprise. Is recognized as a expert within their domain(s) and is well-connected with industry best practices and thought partners.

Accountable to meet the needs of consuming stakeholders and to clearly communicate requirements and ensure compliance from producing stakeholders; accountable to ensure best practices are being leveraged and enforced in firm initiatives.

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, operations professionals and software developers to understand requirements and design effective solutions. Can credibly engage with these groups to influence outcomes in mutually beneficial ways.

Define key performance indicators to monitor and track the health and growth of our data assets. Uses these measures to shape a compelling Data narrative and hold their team(s) and partners accountable.

Ensure prudent use of the firm’s financial resources.

Develop and manage business relationships with senior leaders across the organization in order to lead and contribute to key initiatives.

Be a change agent for data literacy; lead and contribute to change management, communication, training, and education initiatives.
What Experience You Need:-
7+ years in data/analytics roles (e.g., data product management, analytics consulting, BI, data strategy, or applied AI).

Proven experience aligning business strategy to data capabilities and delivering measurable outcomes.

Strong understanding of data platforms (lakehouse, ELT/ETL), semantic modeling, BI, and AI concepts (feature stores, embeddings, MLOps, RAG).

Working knowledge of data governance (privacy, retention, classification) and Responsible AI principles.
-
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate technical concepts to business language.
What Could Set You Apart:-
Experience in Fortune 500/250 or similarly complex environments.

Domain experience in one or more areas (Finance/Financial Planning, Wealth Management, Sales/Marketing, Customer).

Familiarity with enterprise BI and AI ecosystems and governance platforms (Databricks, Azure, vector databases, MCP servers).

Certifications in data governance, analytics, or AI (e.g., DAMA, Azure/AWS/GCP Data/AI).
Knowledge Requirements:-
Experience in roles related to data governance, data management, data operations, data strategy and/or executing strategic programs.

Advanced level understanding of data and analytics.

Experience in the financial services industry preferred.

Leading in a matrixed environment on large governance projects preferred.

Preference to candidates with knowledge of data governance best practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets.

Experience in Wealth Management / Financial Services industry, functional and/or technical area of expertise.
