Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring all plant, property and equipment are maintained and updated properly to support takt time and continuous improvement. Maintenance Manager will ensure organizational effectiveness by way of continuous improvements utilizing Fill-Rite Business tools and processes in the support of Policy Deployment and Strategic Intent.
Job Responsibilities
· Oversee building projects, renovations, and refurbishments.
· Work with vendors to get estimates on projects that need to be completed and use that information to create Capital Expenditure Reports for approval.
· Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
· Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities.
· Be the main point of contacts for building vendors such as scrap removal, janitorial crew, and groundskeeping.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
· Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
· Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
· Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
· Manage the maintenance department including salaried and hourly employees.
· Budgeting to align with financial expectations and policy deployment targets.
· Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties assigned.
Skills and Abilities
· 5+ years’ experience as a maintenance manager in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Advance mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), electrical, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and other building systems.
· Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
· Experience using a computerized maintenance management system.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guest, vendors, and team members.
· Experience in supervising and managing of related departments.
· Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
· Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
· Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
· Occasionally lifting 35 pounds.
· Travel less than 10%.
Education/Certification
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or other related fields.
Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position
· Manufacturing environment - temperature controlled.
· May be exposed to diesel fuel, mineral spirits, glue, paint, adhesives, and sealant fumes.
· Ability to maneuver in, around, under, and about factory machinery on a regular basis.
· Good visual acuity.
· Manual dexterity.
· Must wear eye protection.
· Ability to stand, bend, stoop, push, pull and lift on a regular basis for long periods of time.
NO RELOCATION
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
