A stable and innovative leader in industrial condition monitoring systems is seeking a temporary Receiving Inspector to join the team. This is an approximately four-to-six month assignment supporting a NW Houston facility. The Receiving Inspector is responsible for receiving incoming materials and parts, conducting initial quality inspections, interpreting engineering documentation, and performing administrative tasks within the company's ERP system.

Responsibilities:
- Place incoming material into Arrived Status in ERP (IFS).
- Verify that part quantities match PO quantities.
- Inspect parts to engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and inspection criteria, including First Article Inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify dimensional requirements, tolerances, part characteristics, and acceptance criteria for incoming components.
- Accurately locate and apply applicable tolerances and dimensional requirements on engineering drawings when evaluating manufactured and purchased parts.
- Differentiate physical characteristics among various part numbers to ensure the correct components are received and inspected.
- Use general measurement equipment, including calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools, to verify product conformity.
- Receive purchase orders into the ERP system once parts are verified to be acceptable.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies between received components and applicable engineering requirements, specifications, or purchase orders.
- Operate forklift.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in Receiving and Inspection of manufactured and purchased parts.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 year of experience using general measurement equipment found in a light engineering environment, including height gauges, calipers, and similar inspection tools.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand dimensional requirements, tolerances, part characteristics, and inspection criteria.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish physical characteristics among different part numbers and component configurations.
- Ability to accurately determine whether components conform to engineering requirements and specifications, particularly for products where quality and dimensional accuracy are critical to safe operation.
- Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate inspection findings and discrepancies.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- MS Office experience required; working knowledge of an MRP/ERP system is a plus.
- Ability to perform detailed inspection activities where accurate interpretation of engineering requirements is essential to verifying product conformity for hazardous-area products.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
