Executive & Operations Assistant — Financial Services & Real Estate
Part-Time | Approximately 30 Hours per Week | Houston, TX | Hybrid/Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a highly dependable, organized, and service-oriented Executive & Operations Assistant to support a growing financial services practice as well as related real estate and business activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is intelligent, motivated, professional, and eager to learn. Prior experience in financial services or real estate is not required. We are willing to train the right person.
We care more about your attitude, integrity, initiative, communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn than the number of years on your résumé.
The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, takes ownership of responsibilities, thinks independently, and looks for ways to make things run more efficiently rather than waiting to be told what to do.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities will evolve as you learn the business and may include:
- Manage calendars, appointments, meetings, and scheduling
- Assist with day-to-day administrative needs of a financial services practice
- Help coordinate client meetings and follow-up activities
- Maintain organized client and business records
- Assist with data entry and CRM management
- Prepare documents, correspondence, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Track outstanding tasks and follow up to ensure completion
- Assist with real estate-related administrative and organizational projects
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, business partners, and other professionals
- Conduct online research and organize findings
- Help develop and maintain efficient office systems and processes
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Assist with occasional personal/executive administrative matters
- Identify problems and proactively recommend solutions
- Take on additional responsibilities as the role and businesses grow
Who We're Looking For
You do not need previous financial services or real estate experience.
You should, however, be someone who:
- Has exceptional integrity and can be trusted with confidential information
- Is dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Communicates professionally and politely
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Is naturally service-oriented and enjoys helping others
- Learns quickly and is comfortable asking thoughtful questions
- Can follow established procedures carefully
- Can also think independently and solve problems
- Takes initiative instead of waiting for every instruction
- Can prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Is comfortable interacting professionally with clients and business professionals
- Is comfortable learning new technology, software, and AI productivity tools
- Wants an opportunity to grow and take on greater responsibility over time
Basic Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing and able to complete applicable background screening required for the position
- Comfortable working with confidential financial and personal information
- Reliable transportation for occasional in-person responsibilities
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Access to an appropriate computer and professional workspace for remote work
- Comfortable using or learning Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, Zoom, and other business technology
- Approximately 30 hours of availability per week, primarily during normal business hours
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Additional screening, confidentiality agreements, and compliance requirements may apply to work involving the financial services practice.
Schedule & Work Environment
Approximately 30 hours per week.
This position may include a combination of remote work and in-person responsibilities in the Houston area. Some flexibility in scheduling is desirable.
Compensation
$22–$24 per hour, depending on qualifications, capabilities, and experience.
We are more interested in finding the right person with long-term potential than someone who already knows every aspect of the position.
Growth Opportunity
For the right person, this position has the potential to grow significantly.
As you demonstrate reliability, judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage responsibilities independently, you may take ownership of additional areas of the financial services practice, real estate activities, and other business operations.
We are looking for someone who wants to become an increasingly valuable part of the operation—not simply complete a list of assigned tasks.

In 3–5 sentences, tell us why this position interests you and describe an example of a time when you took initiative to solve a problem without being asked.
We value thoughtful responses and attention to detail.
