Title: Maintenance Engineer
Reports to: General Manager
Scope:
- Performs major repairs and preventative maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Checks and makes repairs to plumbing systems and fixtures such as lines, toilets, sinks, and laundry equipment.
- Checks and makes repairs to electrical systems such as lighting systems, television sets, etc.
- Checks and makes repairs to (HVAC) units. If repair cannot be in done report to General Manager.
- Check maintenance request daily and complete all tasks. If the task cannot be completed, discuss it with the General Manager.
- Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly and that preventative maintenance measures are performed to preserve the hotel and keep product quality to standard.
- Maintain and ongoing Preventative Maintenance Program and keep a log in maintenance office.
- Completes repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching wall vinyl, caulking, etc.
- Monitors mechanical, electrical and water usages to ensure effective energy management.
- Tests life safety equipment on a regular basis
- Provide feedback to employees and report to General Manager and concerns.
- Make sure that all maintenance tools and storage areas are kept secure.
- Ensure that proper inventory of parts: light bulbs, plumbing supplies, etc., are kept on hand. All purchases must either be made or approved by the General Manager. Monthly Inventory of all equipment and supplies must be done and given to the General Manager.
- Monitors and maintains swimming pool
- Work with housekeeping on all WNW deep cleaning programs when needed.
- Insure that all paints and hazardous materials are stored in proper place.
- Complete task list as assigned by the General Manager and other WNW Management.
- Ensures that staff members are following the WNW standards at all times.
- Always wear appropriate uniform as prescribed by company policy and maintain personal cleanliness
- Always remember the 5/10/15 rule.
- Maintain an active posture in total property operations and perform other duties as assigned by management.
