An established and growing manufacturing company in the Saline, Michigan area is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to lead and support safety and environmental initiatives within its manufacturing operation. What You'll Do
- Coordinate and support all environmental, health, and safety programs throughout the facility.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and identify corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver employee safety training and new hire safety orientation.
- Maintain safety records, training documentation, and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with operations, production, quality, maintenance, and HR to promote a strong safety culture.
- Lead safety committee meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support emergency preparedness programs and safety policy development.
- Assist with environmental compliance activities and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Experience conducting safety training and employee engagement initiatives.
- Strong investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work throughout a manufacturing facility and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification or other safety certifications are a plus.
- Experience with environmental compliance, EPA reporting, or stormwater programs is preferred.
- Food manufacturing, SQF, GMP, or regulated manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
