Carow Land Surveying in Appleton, WI is currently hiring a highly motivated Survey Technician to join their team and grow with the company. This position will mainly be responsible for field work with some office responsibilities. Successful candidates should be self-motivated, have the ability to prioritize work and effectively communicate with others.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting the crew chief performing various types of surveys, such as boundary surveys, topographical surveys and construction surveying
- Search for section corners, property irons, and survey points
- Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records, and other relevant information
- Perform manual labor, such as using a sledge hammer, cutting brush for lines, carrying stakes, rebar, using a shovel, and other heavy items
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree preferred
- Ability to learn, operate and properly handle surveying equipment
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D preferred, but not required
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
Additional Details: * Position is located in Appleton, WI,but will need to travel to job sites
