We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist orthodontists during procedures by preparing instruments and materials for treatment.
- Perform chairside assisting, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilizing Cloud 9 software for patient management and scheduling.
- Conduct vital signs checks and assist with medical imaging when required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within the clinic.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontic procedures.
- Operate 3D scanners for orthodontic imaging as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus; experience with general dentistry is also beneficial.
- Proficiency in using Cloud 9 dental software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential.
- Experience with medical documentation, coding, and records management is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children and families are essential for success in this role.
