As a Field Service Mechanic, you’ll be the go-to expert diagnosing and repairing specialized utility trucks and equipment in the field, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and other utility and construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain aerial, construction, and light- to heavy-duty truck equipment (bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, etc.), travel to customer sites.
- Work on diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and repairs on CTOS rental and customer equipment (including DOT inspections, dielectric testing, etc.)
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience with utility, construction (yellow iron), or heavy equipment (CAT, Deere, Komatsu) and medium/heavy-duty trucks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-sufficient, organized, and comfortable working in the field
Travel & Coverage Area
- Road warrior role covering Louisiana/Mississippi, East Texas, and Western Alabama
- 60 –80% plus overnight travel required
- Frequent work along the Gulf Coast supporting oil, gas, and utility industries

What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience (shop and field)
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class B a plus and personal tools required
