Full time Lab Optician (not required to be licensed) position available immediately. Must be available to work weekend days (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) plus 2-3 days out of the week.
Previous optical/optician experience is a plus!

Primary duties will include but are not limited to:
Specific duties include beveling, mounting the lenses, edging, blocking lenses, tinting and inspecting.
o Beveler: Utilize the bevel wheel to remove the sharp edges of the lens.
o Mounter: Accurately apply drill holes to the lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment of the lenses and insert lenses into the frame while ensuring proper fit.
o Edger Operator: Operate a variety of edging machines to cut lenses down to proper size and shape to fit the appropriate frame.
-Customer engagement (greeting customers and successful sales closing techniques)
-Assisting customers with lens selection based on their needs and prescriptions
-Educating customers on different lens brands
-Filling out basic customer information on RX slip forms
-Calling patients for pick ups
-Answering calls (forwarding to proper team member if needed)
-Ordering digital and stock orders
-Adjusting frames to customers facial features
-maintaining lab in order
QUALIFICATIONS:
§ High school diploma or equivalent.
§ Ability to read/write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
§ Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
§ Working in a fast paced production environment.
§ Depth perception and manual dexterity.
§ Any Previous experience in an optical lab production environment is ra PLUS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
§ Regularly stand/walk for the duration of shift. (75% of the time)

-Availability requirements: Must be available to work both or one weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) plus 3-4 days out of the week. You will have a set schedule but needs to be flexible to cover other team members when requested.
Our hours are 10:00 am to 7:00 pm (be advised closing time changes depending on season)
Compensation: Hourly rate will depend on experience.
