PRODUCTION BAKER — IMMEDIATE HIRE

Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
La Provence is an established French artisan wholesale bakery supplying restaurants, hotels, and specialty food businesses across South Florida. We bake fresh daily and take pride in the quality of every product that leaves our kitchen. We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and experienced Production Baker to join our daytime team immediately.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This is a hands-on production role in a fast-paced wholesale bakery environment. You will be responsible for executing daily bread and pastry production to the highest quality standards alongside our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mix, shape, proof, and bake a variety of artisan breads and pastries daily
- Operate commercial deck ovens, spiral mixers, and sheeting equipment
- Follow established recipes and production schedules consistently
- Maintain levain/sourdough starter rotations
- Monitor dough fermentation, temperatures, and proofing times
- Assist in tracking daily production quantities based on orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment at all times
- Communicate with team and management regarding production needs
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years experience in commercial bread or pastry production
- Experience with artisan breads — baguettes, laminated doughs, sourdough
- Knowledge of deck ovens, fermentation, and dough handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and extended time on your feet
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
SHIFT: 8:00 AM until production is complete (typically by 5:00 PM)
PAY: $18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
SCHEDULE: Full-time, 5-6 days per week including weekends and holidays
