Position Overview
Hunter Canine Dog Training is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of Delaware's largest and most trusted dog training company.
This role is responsible for ensuring that every client, dog, trainer, and internal process moves through the company efficiently and professionally. The Operations Manager serves as the bridge between sales, training staff, clients, scheduling, compliance, and business operations.
The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple moving parts simultaneously, and capable of creating systems that allow the company to scale.
Primary ResponsibilitiesClient Operations
- Manage client onboarding from signed agreement through program completion
- Ensure all required paperwork, vaccination records, fecal tests, deposits, and payments are collected on time
- Coordinate board and train scheduling, day camp scheduling, consultations, evaluations, and private lessons
- Maintain accurate client records within company software systems
- Monitor client communication and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items
Scheduling & Logistics
- Manage trainer schedules and training program capacity
- Coordinate board and train placements with trainers
- Monitor upcoming start dates and identify scheduling conflicts before they occur
- Assist with trainer workload balancing and operational planning
- Coordinate transportation and logistics when needed
Team Management
- Serve as the primary administrative support for trainers and management
- Hold team members accountable to company systems and procedures
- Track operational KPIs and report findings to ownership
- Assist with onboarding and training of new administrative staff
- Support implementation of new systems, processes, and SOPs
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all dogs meet company requirements prior to starting services
- Verify vaccination records, fecal testing requirements, liability waivers, and intake forms
- Maintain organized client files and operational records
- Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards
Financial Administration
- Track deposits, payment plans, outstanding balances, and client invoices
- Assist with revenue reporting and operational forecasting
- Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting as needed
- Monitor refunds, credits, and payment issues
Systems & Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Improve workflows across departments
- Assist ownership with scaling systems and operational infrastructure

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
