We are looking for an experienced tree climber to join our arboriculture team. The ideal candidate has proven experience in pruning, removal, and tree maintenance using safe climbing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and rigging techniques.
- Perform pruning, removal, and tree treatment according to safety standards.
- Operate chainsaws safely while working aloft.
- Identify hazards (power lines, structures, tree condition) before starting work.
- Coordinate with ground crew to safely lower branches and logs.
- Comply with ANSI Z133 / OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a tree climber.
- ISA Certified Arborist or Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialist certification (preferred, not required).
- Knowledge of rigging and pruning techniques.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
