Animal Hospital of Signal Mountain is looking to add some experienced talent to our growing team! We are currently a five-doctor GP small animal practice that is expanding.
Due to this growth it is now necessary to add experienced staff to our practice. We are looking for veterinary staff whose main focus is animal care and great client service at its best.
The ideal AHSM candidate:
- A Licensed Veterinary Technician with 1-2 years of clinical experience OR an experienced Veterinary Assistant with 2-3 of veterinary experience and surgical experience.
- A strong knowledge base of animal restraint and disease processes
- Surgical and dental skills and experience
- Vital monitoring experience
- Experience with IDEXX machines and tests
- Proficiency in blood draws and catheter placement
- Experience in ultrasound, radiography, dental radiography and placement
- Experience obtaining patient histories
- Experience administering oral, topical and injectable medications
- A strong knowledge base of medications and purposes
- The ability to adapt to the different needs of each doctor or patient
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Knowledge of Avimark Software Experience is a BONUS!
- Hiring FULL TIME and PART TIME
- All Hires must be able to work shifts from 7am to 8pm (10 hour days 4 days a week) 2 Saturdays a month from 7am to 3PM
· Starting salary is based on the candidates knowledge and experience as well as adaptability to a varying schedule Pay ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour

- A team- oriented approach to medicine with an emphasis on professionalism. What that looks like is: 1 doctor, 1 technician, and 1 technician assistant seeing patients in a 30 min appointment. Dedicated surgery days with 1 doctor, 1 surgery technician, and 1 surgery technician assistant. We are striving to give a comprehensive, dedicated, less -stressed approach in patient visits. Giving the doctor and technician more time to communicate and diagnose patient care/needs.
- AHSM offers chill protocols for stressed patients. This is to give the doctor, technician, and pet a less stressful visit.
- Drop- off appointments for clients in a hurry, limited technician appointments.
- Quality Medicine. Our team of doctors and technicians utilizes state- of -the- art equipment to perform advanced techniques, providing excellent care and treatment services

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28.0 – 40.0 per week
