About the job:
We are continuing our growth objectives and are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing firm. The professional in this position will report to the Income Tax Manager and will Input and prepare income tax returns and tax plans and will also provide accounting services to business clients and high net worth individuals, families and business executives. The duties of the position include inputting data and reviewing tax returns for prospects and maintaining existing client relationships as well as administrative needs for the department. Communication skills are critical as this position requires frequent contact with clients and colleagues. Accordingly, candidate must possess effective oral and written communication skills, as well as the interpersonal skills needed to successfully interact with prospects, clients, financial professionals, and other associates.

Experience:
- At least 3 tax seasons preparing individual, partnership, corporate and fiduciary income tax returns including e-filing
- At least 3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience for small businesses, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, 1099 forms, and preparing and analyzing internal financial statements, as well as preparing reviews and compilations for small companies (typically $1 million to $10 million in revenue); No audit experience required
- Exposure to LLC formations, S Elections, business registrations, and related activities
- Experience in preparing and analyzing internal financial statements, as well as preparing reviews and compilations for small companies (typically $ 1 million to $ 10 million in revenue) a plus
Technical Skills:
· Expertise with small business accounting software including QuickBooks & Quickbooks Online
· Expertise with income tax return preparation software (Lacerte experience a bonus).
· A high level of proficiency with current business software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based CRM applications. Salesforce a plus
Education/Licenses:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
