Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and energetic Line Cook to join our seasoned culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant’s reputation for excellence. This is a fast-paced kitchen with high standards. This position will allow you to showcase and build on your culinary and teamwork skills. This position will work at the restaurant and at a club where we are the contract food service provider.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle food with care, following proper food preparation and handling procedures
- Cook on and off-site for catering and special functions by preparing meals with proper planning, preparation, and execution
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen flow
- Preparation of foods and items for service
- Cleaning of stations, equipment, and service items as needed
Skills
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Exceptional knife skills for efficient meal prep and presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Familiarity with fine dining service practices enhances the ability to deliver upscale culinary experiences
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate effectively within the kitchen team
