Production & Customer-Site Service Technician
Freeland, Michigan | Full-time, in-person
Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
Clearbrooke Companies is seeking a dependable, hands-on team member to support our production operations and provide service at an off-site customer facility one scheduled day each week.
This is a full-time position offering variety, hands-on training, and opportunities for growth. Most of the workweek will be spent at our Freeland facility supporting production, batching, packaging, inventory, receiving, and general warehouse operations. Approximately one day per week will be spent performing cleaning and service duties at a local customer facility.
Pay and Training
The starting wage is $18.00 per hour during the first 90 days, while the employee learns the position and completes the initial training process.
After successfully completing the first 90 days, pay may increase to $20.00 per hour based on demonstrated proficiency, reliability, attendance, and successful completion of the training requirements.
Additional opportunities for skill development and advancement may be available as the employee learns more areas of the business.
Production Responsibilities
Production responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Loading bottles, containers, and packaging materials into production equipment
- Removing finished products from the production line and packing them according to customer requirements
- Assembling packaging and preparing materials for production
- Auditing, counting, and documenting finished products
- Assisting with production equipment setup and adjustments
- Batching formulated products according to written procedures
- Wrapping and preparing pallets for shipment
- Receiving raw materials, packaging components, and other deliveries
- Assisting with inventory counts and organization
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area
- Supporting other production and warehouse functions as needed
Off-Site Customer Facility Responsibilities
Approximately one scheduled day per week will be spent working at an off-site customer facility.
Responsibilities may include:
- Following Clearbrooke and customer Standard Operating Procedures and safety requirements
- Performing industrial cleaning duties such as sweeping, wiping surfaces, power washing, and operating a floor scrubber
- Inspecting work areas and identifying unusual conditions
- Checking and replenishing Clearbrooke products and supplies
- Assisting with basic equipment checks and minor troubleshooting
- Accurately documenting completed work
- Communicating professionally and courteously with customer personnel
- Reporting concerns, equipment issues, or unusual conditions to a supervisor
Training will be provided for all off-site procedures and responsibilities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be:
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute each day
- Comfortable performing physical work, including standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Able to work cooperatively as part of a production and service team
- Detail-oriented and committed to completing work correctly
- Comfortable following written procedures and customer-specific requirements
- Willing to learn multiple areas of production and operations
- Professional and courteous when working directly with customers
- Interested in developing new skills and growing with the company
Candidates must also:
- Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Be able to pass a comprehensive background check
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, including screening for marijuana, as permitted by applicable law
- Have basic mechanical aptitude
- Be comfortable using basic hand tools, including a drill
- Be able to follow a manual and assist with troubleshooting small equipment or pumps
Experience in production, manufacturing, warehousing, industrial cleaning, or a similar hands-on environment is preferred but not required.
Basic experience with Microsoft Office is also preferred.
Schedule
This is a full-time, in-person position based primarily at our Freeland facility. One scheduled day per week will typically be spent at an off-site customer location.
The typical workday ends by 6:00 p.m., although occasional schedule adjustments may be required based on production or customer needs.
