Rapidly growing Carbon Ethanol Chemical Company located in Sauget is seeking several experienced chemical operators. Must have experience with Ethanol or oil refining or fermentation manufacturing experience must have worked in a chemical manufacturing environment as a machine operator.

Duties:
As a Chemical Plant Operator, you will oversee the efficient and safe operation of our chemical manufacturing processes, focusing on the production of ethanol and fermination and other related chemicals. You’ll work with blending equipment and collaborate with a dedicated team to achieve production goals while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Operational Processes:
- Operate chemical processing equipment, such as digesters, mixers, pumps, and control systems.
- Measure and monitor materials to ensure conformance with production requirements.
- Adjust settings and control parameters to meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests to maintain product quality and equipment safety.
- Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed production targets.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a secure work environment.
- Conduct routine safety checks and promptly report hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Participate in safety training sessions and foster a safety-first culture.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues or process irregularities.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to maintain production continuity.
- Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure timely equipment repairs.

Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, or operating front-end loading equipment preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a chemical plant environment with exposure to chemicals, heat, and noise.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Regularly lift, carry, or push up to 60 pounds.
- Exposure to high heat and industrial conditions.

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
