Onsite position – housing available
Responsibilities:
- This is a traveling position, mostly within Wisconsin but could require trips to Minnesota or Iowa.
- Position requires ability to stay in a hotel local to the community/work site for 2-3 nights at a time somewhat regularly.
- Company truck, tools and expense card will be provided.
- Position requires an individual who can assess situations and work orders and take appropriate action to remedy them without very much oversight. We need a motivated and responsible individual who is capable with little to no training necessary.
- Tech savvy, capable of getting into property management software and navigate through work orders as well as communicate with supervisors and district and regional managers in real time regarding work to be performed or is being performs and the outcomes of those actions.
- Work will be performed across multiple sites, with travel expected as part of daily and weekly responsibilities.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure they are safe and well-maintained.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on property infrastructure systems
- Perform inspections and identify maintenance needs, addressing them promptly and efficiently.
- Handle minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- Coordinate and oversee any major repairs or renovations with contractors.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for property maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants promptly and professionally.
- Ensure the properties are compliant with local regulations and safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.
- Handle seasonal property-related tasks, such as snow removal and landscaping.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to be on-call for maintenance emergencies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
