We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician who is a team player, multitasker and passionate about patient care. This role involves assisting the ophthalmologist, perform diagnostic testing, minor procedures, and educating patients while maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
Ideal candidates include driven pre-medical and pre-Physician Assistant students in gap years who are eager to gain meaningful clinical exposure in a fast-paced ophthalmic setting.

Responsibilities
- Perform patient work-ups including medical history and visual acuity testing
- Check intraocular pressure (IOP) using Goldmann applanation tonometry
- Perform manual refraction
- Perform diagnostic testing such as OCT, Visual Fields, Pachymetry, Corneal Topography and Fundus Photography
- Instill dilating drops and medications as directed
- Assist the Ophthalmologist during examinations and procedure
- Document patient findings accurately in EMR (Nextech)
- Maintain ophthalmic equipment and exam rooms
- Provide contact lens insertion and removal
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
