American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring MD or compact RN license and at least one prior travel assignment.

MS/Tele unit handling ED boarder patients
-
Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 to 19:00
-
13-week assignment length
-
Cerner charting system experience preferred
-
Active MD or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required

Strong MS/Tele clinical experience required

At least 1 previous travel assignment required for consideration

Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the past 3 years

Driver's license copy required to verify address for local status determination

Provide nursing care within the MS/Tele unit, including monitoring and management of ED boarder patients
-
Utilize telemetry monitoring and participate in rapid response/code team activities
-
Must reside within a 60-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate; candidates within the radius are considered local and offered a lower rate

No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment

Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract

RTO must be submitted with the initial profile and cannot be changed after submission to the manager

Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler

Facility-specific compliance modules must be completed within one week of contract signing
-
Lab work and drug screening appointments must be completed within 48 hours of signing
-
Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
