Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Framing Carpenter in Essexville, MI. We are seeking a highly skilled Framing Carpenter with at least five years of experience to support commercial construction projects in Essexville, MI. The ideal candidate will be proficient in steel stud framing and capable of delivering high-quality finish carpentry and trim work.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25 to $40 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial-grade steel stud framing for structural and interior partitions
- Execute precision trim work and finish carpentry for high-end commercial interiors
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure accurate layouts
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials using professional power and hand tools
- Install doors, window frames, and specialized commercial hardware
- Verify the trueness of structures using plumb bobs, levels, and squares
- Collaborate with project supervisors and other trades to meet aggressive construction timelines
- Maintain a clean and safe job site while adhering to all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry experience required
- Strong background in commercial construction environments
- Expertise in steel stud framing techniques
- Advanced proficiency in trim and finish carpentry
- Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and installation methods
- Ability to work independently and accurately from architectural drawings
- Reliable transportation to the job site in Essexville, MI
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Comfort working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise cutting and fastening
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and exposed construction sites
- Awareness of surroundings and ability to navigate active commercial work zones
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $40 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
