Position Overview
We are seeking a Crisis Response / Safety Care Trainer to serve as a School-Based Trainer in partnership with our staffing agency. This role is responsible for providing on-site training to school-based staff who work directly with students with special needs in special education classroom settings.
The position requires travel to multiple school locations and the ability to deliver 2-day Safety-Care (QBS) training sessions on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate is experienced in school environments, comfortable training adult learners, and committed to maintaining best practices in crisis prevention and response.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 2-day Safety-Care (QBS) training programs on-site at school locations
- Train school-based staff supporting students with special needs in special education classrooms
- Ensure all trainings align with QBS standards and evidence-based crisis intervention practices
- Coordinate with the staffing agency to schedule and conduct trainings
- Travel to school sites throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area, including:
- Chester County
- Montgomery County
- Delaware County
- Bucks County
- Maintain active QBS certification and required training documentation
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 3 or more years of experience working in a school setting with children who have special needs
- Prior experience as a trainer or instructor is a plus
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple school locations
Required Credentials & Clearances
- Updated Child Abuse Clearance
- Updated FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
- Updated Criminal Background Clearance
- Current Physical Examination
- Current PPD (Tuberculosis screening)
