Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to attract customer attention
- Assist with stocking inventory and managing store cleanliness to ensure a welcoming environment
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product rotation
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups are highly valued
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous for certain retail environments
