Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery driver van
- Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling of items while managing heavy lifting requirements
- Navigate route driving efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols to meet delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring package security upon delivery
- Use handheld devices or GPS systems to confirm deliveries, update delivery status, and optimize routes for efficiency
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving packages using forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary before departure or after return
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation throughout your shift
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Prior delivery driver experience or courier background is highly desirable
- Ability to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving packages, and operating forklifts or pallet jacks if certified
- Experience with route driving in various traffic conditions and familiarity with navigation tools
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
