What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with a teaching team to create a warm, consistent, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Plan and implement daily experiences aligned with the HeartPrints curriculum
- Support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and conferences
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance records, and individual child portfolios
- Care for classroom materials and thoughtfully maintain the learning environment
- Communicate proactively with the Director/Assistant Director regarding classroom needs
- Participate in staff orientation and ongoing collaboration with colleagues and leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
- Meets PA Department of Education requirements for teaching staff
- Demonstrates a passion for early childhood education and teamwork
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to supervise children through sight and sound, both indoors and outdoors
- Comfortable sitting on the floor, standing for extended periods, and engaging in active movement
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Must pass a pre-employment physical (including TB test)
Clearances Required
- Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Fingerprinting
- Child Protective Clearances for all states lived in during the past five years
