About the Role
The Delivery Driver is responsible for timely, accurate, and courteous delivery of food orders from the restaurant to customers. This role requires maintaining telephone contact with the command center for proper tracking of orders while ensuring safe driving, excellent customer service, and adherence
to all company policies and driving regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver orders promptly and accurately to specified addresses in compliance with company policy and traffic laws.
- Provide professional and courteous customer interactions to ensure a positive experience.
- Collect accurate payments from customers via credit card, gift card, or cash.
- Address and resolve customer concerns related to deliveries professionally and efficiently.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles in a safe, clean, and professional manner.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Comply with company dress code and maintain a neat appearance throughout each shift.
- Assist with phone orders and payment processing during non-delivery periods.
- Load and unload food orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform in-store duties such as stocking driver supplies, folding boxes, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
- Support additional operational needs as required to enhance restaurant performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to use GPS or navigation apps effectively.
- Dependable, punctual, and effective time management skills.
- Basic phone and computer skills preferred.
- Physical ability to lift, load, and unload orders weighing up to 50 lbs multiple times throughout the shift.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods at irregular intervals.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and focus, especially when handling deliveries.
- Availability to work weekends to meet the needs of the restaurant.
