Job Overview
We are seeking a Labor foreman responsible for managing day to day operations in the field on specific projects involving earthwork / site grading, utilities, water, sewer, and more. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Supervise labor crews, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols (OSHA compliance).
- Supervise field forces & subcontractors
- Utilize construction management software such as IVO Systems, Bluebeam, and HCSS HeavyJob for project scheduling and management.
- Read and interpret civil blueprints to ensure project specifications are met.
- Ensure Quality and Safety are being executed
- Daily reports and production unit reporting
- Understand and enforce company/client policies
- Attend client meetings and ensure work is in compliance with Contract Documents
- Coordinate efficient scheduling of crews, equipment, and materials and ensure back-up plans
- Maintain daily communication/ job progress and success with PMs and General Superintendent.
- Assist in preparing reports on project progress, including timelines and resource allocation.
Skills
- Excellent supervisory skills with experience managing teams on-site.
- Proficiency in construction management software including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and HeavyJob.
- Strong understanding of construction processes working as the subcontractor, including project scheduling and budgeting.
- Experience in reading civil blueprints and contracts effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards within the construction environment.
- Familiarity with quality control measures in construction projects.
- Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving during project execution.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
