Part-Time Interior Designer / Residential Designer
THE HOME GALLERY is seeking a talented Interior Designer / Residential Designer to join our team in Agoura Hills, CA. This is a client-facing role where you'll work directly with homeowners designing luxury custom homes and ADUs throughout Southern California.

- $75/hour
- 2 days per week
- 6 hours per day (12 hours/week)
- In-office only (Agoura Hills)
About THE HOME GALLERY
THE HOME GALLERY is a Malibu-based home builder specializing in luxury factory-built homes, custom residences, fire rebuilds, and ADUs throughout Southern California. We manage every step of the process—from design and permitting through construction and installation—and currently have 60+ active projects.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients in our showroom to review and modify floor plans.
- Make revisions to residential floor plans that are approximately 90% complete.
- Assist clients in selecting interior and exterior finishes from our curated finish packages.
- Guide homeowners through cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, paint colors, fixtures, lighting, and exterior materials.
- Create a welcoming, professional design experience for every client.
- Collaborate with our sales, drafting, permitting, and construction teams.
- Provide design recommendations while respecting each client's vision.
- Maintain organized project notes and communicate revisions clearly.
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Residential Design, or related field preferred.
- Experience designing residential homes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, or similar drafting software.
- Strong understanding of residential floor plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable meeting directly with clients.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who enjoys both design and people. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, personable, and confident sitting across from homeowners while helping them design their dream home.
This isn't a role where you'll be creating homes from scratch. Our floor plans are already approximately 90% complete, and your focus will be refining layouts, making client-requested revisions, and helping clients confidently select finishes and colors.
Compensation
- $75/hour
- Approximately 12 hours per week
- Long-term opportunity with potential for additional hours as the company continues to grow.
