Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, managing bar operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, assisting with ordering when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and ensure timely service.
- Assist in training new bartenders as needed, sharing knowledge of drink preparation techniques and bar operations.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to help guests feel welcome and valued.
- Sales skills to promote drink specials and encourage upselling of menu items.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Previous bartending experience in a nightclub or similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques is a plus for those interested in craft beverages.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing.
- Understanding of food safety practices to maintain a safe working environment.
