Job Summary
The CDL Truck Driver (Vacuum/Roll-Off) safely operates heavy-duty trucks to transport mobile open-top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer stations, and customer locations. This role requires navigating high-traffic areas, industrial sites, and tight or overhead environments. Advanced backing skills and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Safely transport, load, and unload containers at customer and disposal locations.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document results using standard DVIR forms.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, mechanical issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to management.
- Communicate customer requests and service concerns to the manager.
- Identify and report containers requiring repair or replacement.
- Complete and submit customer tickets and end-of-day documentation.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules as directed by management or dispatch.
- Assist other drivers as needed to meet operational demands.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience (required)
- Experience operating vacuum trucks preferred
License and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- CDL Class B (required)
- Tanker Endorsement (preferred)
- Air Brake Endorsement (preferred)
- CDL Class A (preferred)
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Pay: $28.00 per hour
