IQ Resource Group is hiring for a Field Welder in Anoka, MN!
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm
-Need to be flexible depending on job and weather!
This position is temp-to-hire!
This position is responsible for working on steel structures for construction projects, including buildings, and more!
Responsibilities:
- Experienced in installing structural steel, metal bar joists, and metal decking
- Layout experience in the field
- Cut, weld, and assemble steel parts according to blueprints and technical drawings.
- Operate cranes, hoists, and other machinery to lift heavy steel pieces into place.
- Perform quality checks on materials and welded components to ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- Maintain safety practices and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Inspect steel structures and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Assist in rigging steel materials and ensure proper loading and unloading of steel parts.
Requirements:
- NEED to be located in Minnesota for the position.
- Must have experience with Stick welding, cutting, and steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement and alignment of steel components.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to [Weight Capacity]).
- Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions.
- Experience with cranes or rigging is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols.
- Stick Welding Certification
- Prior experience in construction or steel working is highly preferred.
