Now we're looking for a dependable, customer-focused team member to be the welcoming face of our Joplin location, with the flexibility to hit the road when the team needs backup.
Most days, you'll be right here on the retail floor, helping customers find exactly what they need — a car battery, a key fob, or something in between. When duty calls, you'll step into a delivery role, cruising routes across Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas like a pro.
No experience? No problem. We'll train the right person who's ready to show up, learn, and grow — and we mean that: many of our current leaders started in this exact seat.
Greet customers and help them find the right battery solutions with confidence and a smile!
Test and install batteries — cars, watches, and everything in between
Answer calls, process sales, and handle returns with professionalism
Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked
Deliver products across OK, KS, and AR when the team needs backup
Represent Battery Outfitters at every stop — you're the face of the company on the road
Follow our "I Promise" customer care model and make every interaction count
Valid Class E driver's license and Medical (MED) card (we'll help you get it)
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help people
Dependability, attention to detail, and pride in doing things right
Comfort with basic tools — or willingness to learn
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC)
Retail, customer service, or delivery experience is a plus, but not required

In 1980, Battery Outfitters opened in Golden, Missouri, selling batteries primarily for the automotive, commercial, and marine industries. In 1996, we added a full line of batteries for household goods to our line of products. Back then, the concept of a battery shop was new to the industry. Yet we took the leap and opened our first retail store in Joplin, MO that same year. Now, we proudly have locations in 6 states that serve over a 15 state area with Battery Outfitters online, 9 retail locations, 3 warehouses and 25 route trucks carrying our signature "Pro-Series" and "Pro Guide" batteries, plus our stores carrying the "New" Pro-Guide Lithium battery, plus many others. Our goal has always been to provide the best quality products and friendliest customer service in the industry, and we believe our people truly do make a difference.
