ThrivePoint Academy of Oklahoma is a statewide virtual public charter school serving students in grades 6–12 and adult learners. While we serve all 6-12 students, we specialize in helping students who are under-credited, over-aged, or otherwise considered at-promise reconnect with their education through flexible online learning, accelerated coursework, individualized support, and aligning them with concurrent enrollment opportunities.

Position Summary
The Student Success Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality virtual instruction while building positive relationships with students and families. Teachers work on a team with ThrivePoint Success Coaches and other staff to support each student's academic progress, remove barriers to success, and help students stay on track toward graduation. The ThrivePoint Teacher and Success Coach will work together throughout the week to ensure each student receives personalized attention and individualized academic support. We have a "whole child" model at ThrivePoint and pride ourselves on the outcomes it produces.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging virtual instruction aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual learning needs of students.
- Build positive relationships with students and families through consistent communication.
- Collaborate with Success Coaches to monitor student progress and provide interventions.
- Provide timely grading, feedback, and academic support.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
- Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven school culture.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of a growing startup school.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively teach in a virtual learning environment (asynchronous and sometimes synchronous)
- Proficiency with technology and online learning platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A quiet and reliable work area where you can work without distractions.
Preferred:
- Credentialed in more than one certification area.
- Experience teaching in a virtual or blended learning environment
- Experience working with alternative education, credit recovery, or at-promise students
- Passion for student-centered and relationship-based instruction
