A premier global law firm is seeking a Labor Management Relations Associate Attorney to join its New York office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing employers in sophisticated labor relations, collective bargaining, union matters, and traditional labor law issues.
- 2–6 years of labor & employment experience with a focus on traditional labor law gained at a sophisticated law firm
- Experience representing private sector employers in labor management relations matters across a variety of industries
- Experience advising clients regarding union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining negotiations, labor strategy, and day-to-day labor relations
- Experience handling National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings, unfair labor practice charges, representation proceedings, and labor arbitrations
- Experience drafting and negotiating collective bargaining agreements, labor policies, neutrality agreements, settlement agreements, and related labor documents
- Experience counseling employers regarding strikes, picketing, union avoidance strategies, workforce restructuring, successor employer issues, and labor implications of corporate transactions
- Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated labor matters while maintaining significant client interaction
- Excellent academic credentials
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
- New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
