Position Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving quality
systems and manufacturing processes to ensure products consistently meet customer,
regulatory, and organizational requirements. This position supports prototype through
production activities while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001,
AS9100, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100 (as
applicable), customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Lead corrective action activities related to audit findings, customer complaints, and
nonconformances.
- Maintain quality procedures, forms, and records.
- Support Management Review activities, KPI reporting, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Support APQP activities and new product launches.
- Coordinate PPAP documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow
Diagrams, MSA studies, capability studies, and dimensional reports.
- Participate in feasibility reviews and customer technical reviews.
- Lead root cause analysis activities utilizing methodologies including 8D, 5 Why,
Fishbone, and PDCA.
- Investigate quality issues and support containment activities.
- Review and disposition nonconforming material in accordance with established
procedures.
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to mitigate and resolve quality issues.
- Perform MSA, Gage R&R studies, capability studies (Cp/Cpk), Attribute Agreement
Analysis, and SPC activities.
- Support calibration and measurement system activities.
- Support ISO 14001 environmental objectives and identify opportunities to reduce waste
and improve environmental performance.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continual improvement initiatives.
- Support additional quality and operational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
preferred.
- Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.

- appropriate analysis techniques to determine effective solutions.
- • Experience in metal fabrication, welding, prototype manufacturing, or automotive
- manufacturing environments preferred.
- • Working knowledge of applicable welding standards and requirements, including AWS
- standards and customer-specific welding requirements, preferred.

- • Internal Auditor Certification
- • Lean Six Sigma Certification
Pay: $76,231.84 - $91,806.09 per year
