Fence & Deck Depot is hiring a Deck Installer (Journeyman) out of our Wildwood, MO office to support field crews working throughout the greater St. Louis area. This role is full-time and year round with focus on Deck Installation for residential and commercial projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

Assist Crew Lead in laying out jobs.

Take direction on job operations to deliver tasks with limited guidance.

Loading and unloading materials.

Digging holes and using shovels.
-
Using basic hand tools (tape measures, hammers, speed square).
-
Using basic power tools (circular saws, nail guns, drills, impact screw gun).
-
Reading a level.
-
Driving vehicles.
-
Working occasionally on Saturdays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Experienced with power tools (mainly circular saws and drills).
-
Carpentry.
-
Should enjoy working outdoors.
-
Good communication skills.
-
Problem solving skills.
-
Attention to detail.
-
Previous deck experience is preferred, but not required.
-
Able to read blueprints is preferred but not required.
-
Concrete pouring / finishing is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Being able to lift up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodations.

Performing activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs.

Ability to work in various weather conditions.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$29-$34/hour DOE. After the training period is complete, the potential to earn $60k - $70k per year.
