The Learning Station childcare center in Pittston has an opening for a Toddler teacher. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual to work with children 6 weeks to 5 years.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide a warm nurturing emotional environment.
- To interact and communicate with children in an age appropriate and developmentally appropriate manner.
- To individualize interactions to a child’s special talents, interest, individual style, disabilities, pace of learning and cultural/family background.
- To use developmentally appropriate practices when assisting with activities based upon selected program curriculum and stated on lesson plans.
- To follow all Standards as outlined by Keystone Stars and Pennsylvania’s Department of Public Welfare .
- To maintain relationships with families that is professional and do not present to be a conflict of interest.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in education, human services or psychology is required.
- 2 years’ experience working and caring for young children
- Timely completion of all training requirements.
- Obtain background clearances and medical records..
- Have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
This position is a 30-35 hours to start with hours Monday-Friday position.
Must be able to be flexible and work between the hours of 630am – 6pm but we can work with college schedules.
Paid time off, Holiday pay after 90 days.
