Maintenance Technician - Commercial Real Estate
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Technician supports the daily operations, maintenance, and aesthetics of a growing commercial real estate portfolio throughout NE Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily property inspections and routine site walks across multiple commercial properties.
- Complete general commercial maintenance and repair work (lighting, minor electrical and plumbing, ceilings, drywall and paint, and basic carpentry.
- Monitor HVAC equipment, rooftops, drains, parking lots, and common areas for maintenance concerns.
- Respond to tenant requests for maintenance in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinate vendor onsite visits.
- Maintain vacant suites and ensure move in/move out readiness.
- Update and close work orders within property management software.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with management on property conditions and project updates.
Requirements
- 8+ years in commercial building maintenance or facilities experience.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Abililty to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs independently.
- Fluid and safe use of hand tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Highly organized.
- Experienced in effective communication and follow up.
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
- Abililty to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform daily, standard physical maintenance tasks.
- EPA Certification is adventageous.
- OSHA or Safety Training Certification preferred.
- Experience with a portfolio of multiple commercial properties.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
