Job Description
UpScale Security Services is hiring reliable and professional Unarmed Night Shift Security Guards for apartment communities in Houston & Surrounding Areas
These are standing post assignments focused on keeping residential properties safe, secure, and well-maintained during overnight hours. Officers will perform patrols, monitor for suspicious activity, secure amenities, and complete detailed electronic reports before the end of each shift.
Guards may be assigned to either property based on availability and client needs both sites are within the Houston metro area.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high-visibility presence throughout the property at night
- Conduct routine patrols of parking lots, stairwells, and community areas
- Ensure pools, gyms, and clubhouses are closed and secured after hours
- Watch for trespassers, noise disturbances, or suspicious activity
- Report any maintenance or safety issues (lighting, gates, etc.)
- Complete clear, detailed electronic shift reports via the company’s app
- Communicate professionally with residents and property staff
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Active Texas Level II (Unarmed) Security License required
- U.S. Citizen or valid Work Authorization
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand and patrol for full 8-hour shifts
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
