We’re hiring a Regional Quality Control Manager (SUPPORTING AREA) to join County Prestress in Whitestown, IN.
Job Summary:
The Regional Quality Control Manager for the Prestress Division oversees and ensures consistent quality standards in their respective Commercial and DOT plant locations. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer specifications, and internal standards. This individual leads Quality Control Managers and serves as a liaison between plant operations, quality control, and external parties.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and Manage Quality Control Programs servicing County Prestress & Precast manufacturing locations, supporting peers and colleagues while implementing developmental plans for direct reports.
Maintain, develop, and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures; analyze data to identify trends in quality issues or team performance and drive solutions that reduce costs and optimize performance.
Mentor, develop and oversee training programs ensuring adherence to established quality standards while promoting safety-first workplace.
Formulate, maintain and verify quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
Serve as a communications liaison between Division Leadership, Plant Leadership, industry associations and regulatory agencies.
Track and report audit outcomes to ensure visibility and timely resolution efforts.
Audit location mix designs and curing practices to establish the most cost-effective processes.
Achieve and maintain industry related certifications, including PCI, ACI and NPCA.
Establishes and maintains procedures for inspecting materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
Active participant in all PCI & DOT Audits and onsite visits, relationships
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Commercial Plants
Maintain required and maintaining required certifications for PCI Structural and Architectural production
Job site quality inspections and representatives for quality-related issues.
Mix design development and implementation
Curing practice optimization
Responsible for providing necessary reporting including non-conformance reports to VP of Operations.
Formalize plant training procedures and recommendations to address non-conformances.
Implement and develop (when needed) standardization of quality check processes and documentation.
Implementation of technological initiatives to improve quality and data collection / evaluation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Department of Transportation (DOT) Plants
Maintain required PCI and DOT certifications
Standardization of quality check processes and documentation
Mix design and curing practice optimization
Establish self as liaison with DOT key contacts in Bridge Office(s)
Responsible for providing necessary reporting including non-conformance reports to VP of Operations.

Experience & Qualifications: (Required or Preferred)
Education:
Preferred bachelor's degree in: Quality Management, Construction Management, or a related field
Experience and/or Training:
7-10+ years of job-related experience.
Prestress plant and quality control leadership prior experienc
Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of quality systems and possess strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Solid math aptitude.
Licenses/Certificates:
ACI Filed Technician Level 1;
PCI Level I & II
PCI Level III Certification or be able to obtain reasonably.
Technology/Equipment:
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products and quality management software
Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in a Mixed/Office/Field/Plant environment.
Exposure may include: Noise, weather, machinery, chemicals, public interaction, etc.
Travel required: 50% - 75%
Typical work hours/shifts: Must be flexible with travel both planned and unplanned meeting the demands of our business and customers.
