God's Little Scholars LLC is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher who is passionate about helping children learn and grow in a safe, loving, and faith-based environment.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED require
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center is preferred BUT not required.
- Experience working in a Texas Rising Star certified program is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers.
- Ability to create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and engaging classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks and meet Texas Child Care Licensing requirements.
- Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained within the required timeframe after hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Texas Rising Star standards, curriculum implementation, documentation, classroom observations, and quality improvement practices.
- Familiarity with developmental assessments and child progress documentation.
- Experience using developmentally appropriate practices and positive guidance techniques.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children at all times while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement daily lesson plans and classroom routines.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and classroom documentation.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's progress.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Participate in required trainings and professional development.
We are looking for team members who are dependable, nurturing, energetic, and committed to providing high-quality early childhood education. Experience with Texas Rising Star standards is strongly preferred and will be given priority during the hiring process.
Pay: $8.00 - $8.50 per hour
